Shidler Goods LLC is a small business owned by us, Josh and Alicia Shidler. We started our company on our little homestead in lower Mid Michigan in 2024. We saw an opportunity to make tallow based products starting with a body butter and lip balm and loved the thought of being able to share these products with others. Having used tallow based products before, we know how incredible tallow is for our skin. However, most tallow based products out there are extremely expensive. We work hard to keep costs low. This is why our products come in tins rather than glass… the glass costs FIVE TIMES what the tins cost. Personally, we would rather have a tin that might get dented and save a little bit of money. Hopefully you feel the same!
We source our suet from local farmers with amazing practices with raising their beef including grass fed. The suet is rendered in our home by us and then purified so you don’t smell like beef when you put it on! Other ingredients are sourced from various places factoring in quality and cost. We do all we can to offer a high quality product at a price that’s more within reach of the average family. Our body butter is half the price of some we have seen and our lip balms are nearly a steal! We do this because we want you to be able to afford to take care of your family!
As we grow, we plan to offer more products in addition to the tallow based products we currently have. While a lot of them will only be available in person, anything that we can ship will be found listed here on our website. Even though we are very new, we have had several requests for specific items or different scents in items we already make. While it is possible to do what’s been asked, please keep in mind that developing a new product (even a different scent in a product we already make) takes time and a financial investment. We are very small, very new AND trying to be wise stewards of the resources the Lord has given to us.

Privacy note: Whatever information you enter on our website will not be shared with anyone. Obviously your shipping address will go into the site we use for shipping your items to you, but we do not save addresses or information there. We never give your email/phone/payment information to ANYONE and we never will. If one day we do an email newsletter, know we won’t automatically sign you up. There will be a specific signup and you will be the one to decide to sign up or not. Basically – we aren’t creepy people who will use any and all information we can to make a buck. I think that’s it.
